Our journey began in 2017 when we discovered blockchain’s potential to revolutionize industries and democratize ownership. We saw the opportunity to combine blockchain’s transparency with maritime assets, enabling anyone, anywhere to invest in ships.
Crafting the Dream
The concept of fractional ship ownership was born, but the industry wasn’t ready. Undeterred, our passionate team of maritime experts and technologists worked to develop a platform that would change the way people invest in ships.
A Pivotal Moment: A Vision Reignited
In 2019, a meeting with a visionary ship broker in the Middle East reignited our dream. The key question emerged: Should we focus on shipowners or empower the community? This pivotal moment reaffirmed our commitment to democratizing ship ownership.
The Pandemic and a Global Shift
As the world shifted in 2020, so did we. The pandemic accelerated digital transformation, and we recognized it was the perfect time to bring our vision to life. With technology at the forefront, we knew ShipFinex was ready to emerge.
